PSP compatibility is not 100%, please report your games HERE to support the growing compatibility list.
And welcome to the Cove. :)

I seen that its not 100% but the games ive tried, the 2 previously mentioned, ive seen on the compatibility list and neither works for me i also tried soul caliber broken destiny and it said on the cobra website that it added support for that. Would you happen to have a sample of how the psp folder you have looks so i can compare mine

Playing PSP backups

Initial setup: install the “Cobra-USB_PSP-Launcher.pkg” package available on http://www.cobra-usb.com.
Do not run this package when you see the “NO GAME” icon or the ps3 will crash/reboot.
Once PSP-Launcher is installed, follow these instructions to play a psp backup:
1. Start Cobra USB Manager from XMB.
2. Press square five times to change to PSP mode (four times if PS2 is not enabled).
3. Choose the backup from the list and press X.
4. Cobra USB Manager will mount the backup and exit. Now PSP-Launcher has the icon of the PSP
backup and you can start the game from there.

Cobra USB Manager uses the following directories for PSP backups:

• /dev_hdd0/PSPISO
• /dev_usbXXX/PSPISO

Allowed format are:

• ISO, the typical backup format used by the psp homebrew community. CSO format is not
supported yet. EBOOT.BIN in the iso can be either encrypted or decrypted.

Known issues
:

- Savedata loading/saving fails: this problem will be addressed in a future update.
- Not all games play: the emulator is not perfect, but we fixed some sony bugs on it and it now
loads more games that it originally did. In the future, we expect to be able to do more patches
to increase its compatibility.

I had the same problem at the beginning, my problem was fixed by loading games of a flash drive or external hard drive. PSP games completely REFUSE to boot of my INTERNAL hard drive, but will WORK fine on a "Fat32" partitioned removal device. I can confirm crisis core works great and many other games work.
PSX games work perfect of internal hard drive, but not PSP games (crashes my ps3 when you make the attempt to boot), also I couldn't seem to boot NTFS external hard drive using the "NTFS Driver" (glitched up multiman, and couldnt open any menu after activating this driver, force to restart my ps3) so instead I created a secondary partition and format it to "FAT32", and tested few games.

This will DEFINITELY help you!
