With regards to Ninja - Shadow of Darkness, I cannot get this game to load the first level. I have even aquired a redump.org rip which contained multi-bin files and a .cue, so I mounted the .cue and made a full 689mb single bin+cue via ultraISO and it does exactly the same thing as my non-redump.org copy. Any help here? I noticed that there were issues with this game from another user on the master-list yet he seems to have rectified it...I think I am maybe not converting it in the same way as he is but I don't normally have any problems with converting things etc.

It comes up with no issues on mmCM, I then boot it and again no issues on the XMB and I can even play all 43 audio tracks with no problems under 'Music', intro plays fine, menus etc. then as soon as I go to "Start Game" it just black screens (doesn't crash as I am still able to freely exit to the XMB/reset the game etc).

Hopefully someone can tell me what's missing! Cheers guys.

Oh and here's some more games for the list that I've tested:

Hexen (PAL) - works
London Racer (PAL) - works
Theme Park World (PAL) - works
Wacky Races (PAL) - works
WCW Backstage Assault (NTSC) - works
WWF Attitude (PAL) - works

EDIT: Yeahhh I got it to work! After playing around with at least 3 different versions, creating a bunch of different images in different formats, creating cue files both automatically and myself, all I did was grab the 5kb cue file from redump.org and it works like a charm!

Hey Persian_McLovin, You're not having any problems with PAL games? I gotta say that none work for me, I get the display error every time.

I was having the same problem with a PAL PS2 game and found out about a soft converter to do the job.

In particular, ASA Patcher. It worked for me with a PS2 game and I'm sure it will work for a PSx.

EDIT EDIT: I think my slim is just being overly dramatic still no luck but that's fine. Most my psx discs are ntsc

EDIT EDIT EDIT: This is a weird outcome but my pal games are working now, heres how it seems to work. I try to load a pal PSX game and get the video error message. Then i chose to change display setting's the normal way and 576p appears, I chose 576p only and my tv shows 1080 @ 60hz, pal games then work. Now strangely when I load an ntsc game the 576p vanishes and 480p shows up. So in short, my ps3 slim seems to change regions when I pay different region psone titles

yes, the PS3 will automagically does that... lol, at least it did for me back when I 1st got a Cobra.

Hey RazorX, the original Pal release has never worked on my ps3's. Comes up as scei and black screens which is common apparently, bought this on PSN

all the tomb raiders work fine for me from original but tomb raider 1 never worked from cdr till now and tomb raider 2 probs can with some tinkering i burned several variations of tombraider before i got it working.
