Matrix glitcher v2 no boot need help

Postby Nirbeltran » Fri Jan 06, 2012 4:08 am

Hi all
I have intalled the new glitcher but i get some errors . On first intall it did not boot at all , so i tried the old trick and changed " A " wire to 50 cm , so now it boots but the boot rate is terrible - about one to three , and boot time is about one minute . i have being playing with the "A" length for some time but i get no satisfaing results .
The console is slim . And if i change to old matrix i get much much better results
Can any one help ?

I used a 0.1uF cap between gnd and point f on the glitcher, went from hardly booting at all, too booting 100% and within 5-10 secs at most.

sorry about that, since you are on a slim, just attach one leg of the 0.1uF cap on ground and the other leg onto whichever point is for cpu_pll_bypass. see if that helps ya. :)

Can I ask do you have a diagram of the solder point where you connected F to GND? on the original glitcher v1 there is a spot next to the resistor I have a phat jasper arriving this weekend and have a .1uf ceramic capacitor ready.

Slim consoles don't use CPU_PLL_Bypass signal, and this fix works only for FAT consoles, which they glitch much much better then Slims even without any Fix ;)
Usually the Jaspers I do glitch instantly without any fix applied at all.

the best you can do for a Slim to improve boot times, is to use a long wire on point A (CPU RESET) about 50cm and route it around the Fan itself and avoid any ground points, also the point B wire (POST signal) must avoid any ground points , use stranded wires on all points, use thick wires on VCC and Ground (Ground shortest possible) and clock wire/ point C shortest possible.
Another thing to consider is using higher Capacitor value between point A and ground (some Slims glitch well with the default 220pf, others need 270pf to work, and some few needs 330pf to glitch)

Good Luck.

Same here. Never thought I would need any extra capacitors. Looked like all-in-one solution to me. What is why I bought it.
Can anyone spot any mistakes I made? Here is my installation.
