hello, No you can't install this CFW or any other homebrew packages while you are on original FW 3.65, you must check your PS3 hardware version ex: CECH-2504a / CECH-2504b / CECH-3001 etcc to see if it can be downgraded or not, usually if it's a new machine then it can't.
It is not the years in your life that count. It is the life in your years.

please don't confuse things guys, the CFW is meant to be used for downgrading with a hardware flasher that can read/write the NOR/Nand chip of the PS3, you can't downgrade without a Flasher like ProgSkeet, Infectus, Teensy++ etc....
After reading the NOR image and patching it with Dospiedra's downgrade patches, you flash back the patched NOR then you enter Factory Service Mode and downgrade using my CFW to have a 3.55 jailbreaked PS3 again.

Cheers

Hi,

Was the comment written about Rogero DownG v2 or V3? I'm asking because un your description it says:

- Can be used for Downgrade directly using a hardware flasher like Progskeet / E3 Flasher / Teensy++, etc...
- Can be used for normal system update like any other CFW/MFW from XMB or from Recovery Menu.

Did I misunderstand?

I believe he means that if you are on firmware 3.55 or lower, you can install this custom firmware as any other normal/custom firmware.
If you need it for downgrading, you simply MUST have a hardware flasher.

BTW, I successfully downgraded my accidentally updated Slim console.
Originally 3.50 (THE last batch before 3.60 shipped default, lucky me), up to Kmeaw 3.55, then stupidly to 4.00, and then finally down to Rogero 3.55 awesomeness.
(I have now permanently disabled the network so the kids can't update it again)

Thanks for all your work.

Description: The PlayStation 3 system wasn't able to load the game or game data. This may be caused by a dirty or scratched disc or the game data couldn't load. Try this:
Clean the disc and reinstall the game data.

If possible try direct launch.

Dude, i've solved the problem, with newest games like, BF3, Infamous 2 and others, I have to change the eboot.
The error didn't ocurred with any original game disc, so i've suposed the was something with the eboo'ts game.

Just a tip that everybody knows .

What you experienced here, is that these games requires firmware 3.56+
Trying to launch such a game will simply result in that error you mentioned.

However, some games can be made to work by swapping out the eboot with a fixed one.
Other games again, have updates made with the 3.50(?) SDK, so all you have to do is to install the game update,
No eboot fiddling necessary.

Hi,
How to remove "Privacy Patch applied to block communications with all Sony servers" and spoof 4.11?
