Rules and Guidelines for Posting in the forum

Postby S4BRE » Sat Jul 02, 2011 7:44 am

1. Post in the correct forum and keep on topic.
2. Mods have the final say so
3. Search for your question first
4. Trolls will be returned to their caves
5. Threads that result in flame wars, will be closed
6. Regarding Donations: Devs and other contributors are allowed to put a link for donations. IT MUST BE VOLUNTARILY GIVEN BY THE USER. Meaning you cannot demand a donation for the project you are working on or releasing. If this is found on our site we will delete the post and purge your account off the site.
7. Bashing of other sites regardless of situation will not be tolerated, your post will be edited/ and or deleted. If it continues, your account will be purged.
8. NO WAREZ TALK, there are plenty of other sites for that....
9. As we welcome all languages and countries. English is the preferred language on this forum. If the need is to post in another language please provide an translated version as well. As this will help others .
10. Duplicated post will be deleted...
11.Do Not Post cracks, scene releases. or ways to unlock files for psn....tuts are welcomed. (this is up to moderator discretion and post will be edited as needed)
12.NO posting of personally identifiable information or hardware dumps, as they can easily be used for nefarious purposes, and if you require technical assistance that conflicts with this rule, then send a personal message with the minimal, but necessary tools/dumps/software to those who are actually able to help you with such queries. (thanks gdrive)

I think we need revisions. There are rules that are not in the list. Maybe we should all get together one night and discuss how we should change this list (mainly add on to it)

Here's another (suggested) rule to add to the current list of rules:

- NO posting of personally identifiable information or hardware dumps, as they can easily be used for nefarious purposes, and if you require technical assistance that conflicts with this rule, then send a personal message with the minimal, but necessary tools/dumps/software to those who are actually able to help you with such queries.

Obviously, this is merely a suggestion and this has just been thought from the top of my head so it may not make much sense at all.

Let me know what you think of this.

A sticky maybe like Gregory did http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=56402, but I don't really think forum rules.
If we all are here to help others , then what exactly are others here for?
