I am now on Kmeaw CFW 3.55, Can i update directly to Rogero CFW v3.2 or should i go to OFW 3.55 first ?

you can go directly to Rogero CFW v3.4, if the XMB update didn't work updating through Recovery Menu will do it and it's always preferred over XMB update.

is it possible you can disable CGMS & APS (macrovision) from this CFW thx. And perhaps mod the media player and add A-B support for video files

Hi everyone

Sorry for the noob question but here it goes:
I am currently on Kmeaw and I want to flash Rogero 3.4. Is this how i should do it - http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive ... mebrew.cfm ?

I have flashed Kmeaw a long time ago and i don't remember anything anymore So, please, i need to know if just flashing the Rogero 3.4 .PUP file is all i need to do, or there are more steps?
Also, as far as i understand, once i have flashed Rogero 3.4 i can simply log in to PSN and play. Is that so?

Ok, here's the deal... you can easily update to Rogero's CFW, and I recommend it...and I recommend using Condor Updater to do so.

The thing is, a couple of days ago, Sony blocked PSN access, so there's no way you'll get online, with that said...I still recommend you update to Rogero's CFW, as I use it myself.

Steps:
1. install Condor Updater
2. put PS3UPDAT.PUP in UPDATE folder on root of usb stick, attach to PS3.
3. run Condor Updater to install CFW.

I will update to Rogero using your method, but i must ask... What will be the benefit from updating to Rogero if PSN is not accessible again? Is there any chance that with a new spoofer or something we will be back on PSN again soon?

well, the spoofer blocks you from accidental updates to OFW which would block your PS3 from running Homebrew or game back-ups, and as for the future of PSN access...no-one knows...we roll with Sony's dices.

but I would recommend the CFW anyways.

I have a question.. Does updating to the latest Rogerio firmware allow me to play games such as Batman Arkham City (that I actually bought) that requires a higher official firmware?

No it won't...there's a patched EBOOT online, but it's only for the True-Blue dongle.

I tried to install this on 4.21, and it got to around 80% before returning this error:
"The data is corrupted. (8002F828)"
Anyone care to help me out with this?
